Finding clean water is a daily challenge

We are providing a reliable and safe water source that will unlock potential by returning time for study, work, and imagination.

The Izi Foundation

The IZI foundation was founded by Ash & Parm Uddin. The core purpose of the foundation is to provide access to clean and safe water across the most deprived regions of the world.

Knowledge saves lives

In many deprived areas with no access to water, millions of people are not aware that some of their daily routines pollute the water they will end up drinking. Knowledge of good hygienic and sanitary practices related to water is essential to end the embarrassingly endemic diseases in many areas of the world

Gaining Access

Despite the overwhelmingly clear evidence that providing safer, accessible and more reliable supplies of fresh water leads to healthier populations and economies, millions of people still struggle to access safe drinking water, and more than 840,000 people die each year from poor water, sanitation and hygiene.

WATER QUALITY AND SAFETY

Water is also not so easy to keep clean, particularly if it must be transported from a shared source to the point of use. It has been shown that “improved sources” are not always safe, and can be contaminated by chemical pollutants or human or animal excrement. Infectious diarrhea is the most common disease related to unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene, mainly affecting children under 5. Globally it causes the deaths of over 1,000 children every day.

The Journey

The IZI foundations first clean water project is opened on the 20th of August 2018 in Bangladesh. The clean water pump will be in a village called Somphasi, Sadar Thana, district Moulvibazar.

“We are extremely happy to know what impact this will make for the people, especially the children of this village and region” said Ash and Parm Uddin.
